Children’s Ministry

Anacortes Lutheran church is a place for children and their families! We offer many exciting opportunities for children to grow in faith.

Kids of the Kingdom

Sunday mornings during the school year children can come upstairs to the castle for an engaging education time. We begin with music led by Anita and Dana McCoy. Then preschool children are off to a class designed just for them. Children in grades K-6 experience Bible stories in a multitude of ways including science, cooking, art, games, writing, music, dance and more. We want children to not only know foundational Bible stories, we want kids to experience to Love of Jesus and have fun! Join us during the 9am worship service in the Castle for Kids of the Kingdom!

Vacation Bible School

Sing, play, wiggle, eat, run, listen, laugh and learn about Jesus! Every summer that is just what we do at Vacation Bible School! Vacation Bible school is designed for children ages 3 to entering grade 3 in the fall. Four days of outrageous high energy fun…don’t miss it!

Special events

Throughout the year we offer many opportunities for family fun! Grow together and play together at our great family events like; Pumpkin Patch day (early October), Harvest Festival (the Sunday closest to Halloween), Advent Festival Evenings (Wednesdays in December), scavenger hunts, snow trips, and more!

Lutherwood Camp & Retreat Center

May 3rd- pre-k with Miss Ann & Rotation #2 K-6th

May 10- pre-k with Miss Ann & Rotation #3 K-6th

May 17- Celebration Sunday Worship and End of the Year Party (after the children's sermon upstairs)

*** Bible Blitz- Recite all the books of the Bible in order and receive a special prize ( by May 17)

***Clothing Drive competition... Westminster Presbyterian has challenged us to gather clothing sizes 3 and up for foster children in Skagit County. Bring your donations to Sunday School starting May 3!

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL

Now registering for Summer Sunday School for kids K- 4th grade. Please register by May 15. Parents are asked to sign up to teach/help as many times as the number of children you sign up. Sign up with Liz today!
